The Tall House, London

This house by architect Terry Pawson is situated on a quiet road in West London. Black slate, mild steel oak and concrete are used in the building, which received a RIBA award in 2002. The roof terrace with its distant countryside views is experienced as an integrated deck, parapet wall and seating voids clad in timber.
